As a UX Designer, I focus on crafting user-centered digital experiences that balance functionality and visual appeal. My role involves conducting user research, creating intuitive designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Conducting User Research
The journey of
For the redesign of Farnell Global, user research began with understanding the needs of diverse users, including engineers and procurement specialists. We conducted in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability tests to identify pain points and opportunities in the existing platform.
By mapping user journeys and analyzing behavior patterns, we uncovered insights into how users interacted with the site and where improvements were needed. These findings informed our design decisions, ensuring the new platform was intuitive, accessible, and tailored to meet user expectations while supporting business goals.

Collaborative Research
Building Better Together
The Farnell Global redesign research was a collaborative effort, involving product owners, stakeholders, marketers, creatives, and designers. Together, we conducted card sorting exercises and shared insights to shape a user-centered site architecture. This teamwork ensured alignment across all teams, balancing user needs with business goals.
Wireframes
Sketching the Future
Wireframing was a crucial step in visualizing the redesigned Farnell experience. Collaborating closely with product owners, stakeholders, and fellow designers, we transformed research insights into structured layouts that prioritized user needs. These wireframes served as the blueprint for seamless navigation, optimized workflows, and intuitive interactions, ensuring every element was aligned with the project’s goals.
Crafting a Scalable Design System
Building the Blueprint
We developed a unified design system for Farnell’s platform, featuring reusable components, consistent typography, and accessible color palettes. This streamlined collaboration across teams and ensured a cohesive, user-friendly experience throughout the platform.
Handover to Development team
In detail
Once the designs were finalized, we made sure to clearly communicate all the details to the development team. This included providing precise measurements, spacing, and detailed functionality of each component. We worked closely with the developers, ensuring they understood the designs and could bring them to life accurately, keeping the user experience intact throughout the process.
Design with Real Users
Testing
After the design was finalized, we conducted prototype testing with real users to see how the design performed in a real-world setting. We gathered feedback on usability, navigation, and overall experience, identifying any areas that needed improvement. This helped us fine-tune the design, ensuring it was both functional and user-friendly before moving forward.
